#325. Garden of Venice.

  ? × ?, oil on canvas (presumably). "Gilbert Munger" lower left. A scrapbook kept by Munger's niece Myra Dowd Monroe [1872-1966] that was given to the Madison (CT) Historical Society contains a small snapshot of this painting with the handwritten notations:

Mr. Oakman is probably Richard Nickerson Oakman Jr (1843-1908), a businessman who lived in Franklin County Massachusetts. Mr. Mills was the Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut from 1899 to 1901. He had at least 15 Mungers. He likely bought this painting at the library sale. Its present whereabouts are unknown.
