#88. Landscape with Pond.

  28 x 34, oil on canvas. "Gilbert Munger 1896" lower left. For five other versions of this scene see paintings #99, #165, #172, #232, and #256. One of them has a date of 1890, so the scene is certainly French, even though this one is date is dated after Munger returned to the US. Sold for the benefit of the San Diego, CA, Museum of Art at Sotheby's Los Angeles auction of 12 March 1979, lot 162, for $3,000.
