#242. The Clearing.

  24 x 19, oil on canvas. "Gilbert Munger" in red lower left. From a New Jersey estate, sold at the James D. Julia Inc. auction in Fairfield ME at the 24 August 2005 sale, lot 254, for $3,750 + 20%. The photo shows discolored varnish. The auction house indicates that there are no labels or inscriptions on the back. Probably a French scene, but possibly English.
