#330. Near Nemours.

  12.5 x 18, oil (presumably). "Gilbert Munger" lower left. The American Art Galleries of New York sold the following painting as lot 20 at their 30 Novenber 1928 sale for $110. The lot is not illustrated, but described as:

20.    Near Nemours    An expanse of open country, under a lowering sky; in the foreground a brook with brown banks, at the left a clump of dark russet trees.    12½ x 18    Signed lower left: Gilbert Munger    Property of Mrs. Alice R. Donnelly

Nemours is on the Loing River near when it joins the Seine River south of Paris. A Munger painting with this title was exhibited in London in the summer of 1898.
